WHEN DO I USE THIS?

This is the third step to editing a book. If you only want to fix grammar, spelling, punctuation, formatting, and check for logic/clarity, then this step is where to start.

WHAT IF I DON’T WANT TO DO THIS STEP?

We can proceed directly to proofreading if you just want to make sure you have no remaining typos or obvious errors. However, skipping this step means the proofreading will miss other issues such as possible contradictions or improper grammar.
